Understanding Your Concerns
We start by learning about your mental health history, current challenges, and goals.
Symptom Assessment
We assess emotional, behavioral, and physical symptoms to identify patterns and their impact on your daily life.
Personal and Family History
A detailed review of your medical, psychiatric, and family history to identify potential contributing factors
Psychiatric Interview
A Structured discussion to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
Functional Impact
Evaluating how symptoms affect your work, relationships, and overall quality of life.
Additional Testing (If Needed)
We may recommend lab work or other diagnostic tests, such as bloodwork or imaging studies, to rule out underlying medical conditions.

Mood Disorders
Mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder can deeply affect how you feel, think, and function. At Mindful Oasis, we work with you to identify patterns, explore root causes, and create a treatment plan that helps restore balance and emotional stability.

Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety can show up as excessive worry, panic attacks, or constant restlessness that interferes with daily life. We help you understand your symptoms and offer supportive, evidence-based strategies to reduce anxiety and build a greater sense of calm and control.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
PTSD can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event and may involve flashbacks, hypervigilance, or emotional numbing. At Mindful Oasis, we provide trauma-informed care to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered in your healing process.

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
ADHD can impact focus, organization, and emotional regulation in both children and adults. We provide thorough evaluations and practical, individualized treatment options to help improve attention, structure, and daily functioning.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
OCD involves persistent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) that feel hard to control. We offer compassionate support and treatment that targets these cycles, helping you regain a sense of clarity and peace.

Psychotic Disorders
Psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder, may involve hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized thinking. At Mindful Oasis, we approach these conditions with care and respect, offering medication management and supportive interventions to promote stability and well-being.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment

Diagnose
Your first 55-minute visit at Mindful Oasis is a psychiatric evaluation focused on understanding your mental health history, current symptoms, and treatment goals. This session helps determine whether psychiatric care within our scope is appropriate. A diagnosis or prescription is not guaranteed. In some cases, a referral to another provider may be recommended based on your clinical needs.

Prescribe
If ongoing care is appropriate, we will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals and preferences. This may include psychiatric medication, psychotherapy, or referrals to other providers. If medication is recommended, we’ll discuss the benefits, risks, side effects, and expected timeline for improvement. Your informed participation is central to every step of the process.

Manage
Ongoing care includes follow-up visits to monitor your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. The frequency of follow-ups depends on your needs and how you respond to treatment. Some clients benefit from regular appointments, while others may only need periodic check-ins. Our goal is to provide consistent, supportive care that evolves with you.
What to Expect After Your Evaluation
Once your evaluation is complete, we will work with you to
develop an individualized treatment plan. This may include
psychotropic medications, therapy recommendations, or
lifestyle adjustments. We aim to empower you with the tools
and strategies you need to achieve mental wellness
